Position Overview:

The Business Development Center (BDC) Representative plays a crucial role in maintaining positive relationships between the dealership, potential customers and existing customers. They are the primary point of contact for general inquiries regarding the dealership products and services. Exceptional customer service is critical of this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle incoming calls, emails and website inquiries from potential and existing customers.
  • Ensure timely responses and follow-up calls when necessary to maximize conversion rates and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Refers customers to appropriate staff members as needed.
  • Schedules appointments between customers and sales staff members. Ensuring communication of confirmed appointments.
  • Utilize Customer Relationship Management systems to maintain accurate customer records, updating the system frequently.
  • Meet or exceed established performance goals, such as call volume, appointment conversion rates and customer satisfaction scores.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education required.
  • Experience in previous customer service is beneficial. Automotive experience is preferred.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication.
  • Must possess technical skills for use of phone systems, computers, and dealership management software.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail.
  • Position operates in an office setting.
  • May require extended periods of sitting and looking at computer screen.
  • Frequent verbal communication through phone calls on a daily basis.
