The HCT Assistant Production Manager is vital to the continued success and growth of HCT. We are seeking applicants with positive leadership qualities to ensure manufacturing runs smoothly on all shifts and the final product meets the standards our customers have come to expect from us.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Overseeing daily production on all product lines / divisions
  2. Ensuring we are manufacturing kits in a timely manner with a high rate of accuracy in all shifts
  3. Overseeing multiple shifts
  4. Identifying ways to improve the department’s efficiency and accuracy. 
  5. Responsible for meeting delivery, quality, and labor cost goals
  6. Meet KPI on output, scrap, attendance, and overtime reduction.
  7. Managing schedules for supervisors and shop employees in all shifts
  8. Filling in for production as / where needed
    • Welding, making hoses, powder coating, QC, etc.
  9. Ensuring the shop meets safety standards
  10. Enforcing company policies
  11. Implementing and enforcing department rules and policies
  12. Assist with establishing department goals and plans for growth and regularly measuring progress
  13. Documenting and maintaining job descriptions with clearly defined procedures for each position
  14. Ensuring the communication between the shop and other departments is clear and consistent
  15. Assisting in employee recruitment, reviews and evaluations, promotions, retention, and terminations as needed
  16. Ensuring all production equipment is working efficiently and safely and scheduling/making repairs as needed
  17. Ensuring the shop floor stays safe, clean, and organized

 

Applicants must:

  1. Have an Associate’s degree or equivalent
  2. Have knowledge of manufacturing production and processes
  3. Have welding and fabrication experience
  4. Have management experience in a production shop
  5. Demonstrate excellent leadership skills
  6. Have a positive attitude and work well with others
  7. Demonstrate high attention to detail with an emphasis on high accuracy
  8. Be able to accurately read blueprints
  9. Be capable of working under pressure
  10. Be open to working late or early as needed to meet deadlines
  11. Experience with coordinating and scheduling is a plus
  12. Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
