Are you naturally a night owl who enjoys helping others? Home Instead is looking for compassionate, reliable, and attentive Care Professionals to provide overnight care to aging adults in Marion, IN.

As an Overnight Care Professional, you'll provide the support, companionship, and reassurance seniors need to remain safe and comfortable in their own homes.

What You'll Do

As an Overnight Care Professional, you'll provide a reassuring presence and personalized support to help an aging adult remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own home.

Responsibilities may include:

• Evening Routine Assistance: Provide standby assistance with personal care, help with bedtime routines, and assist with compression garments as directed.

• Overnight Safety & Monitoring: Perform scheduled wellness checks throughout the night, observe for changes in condition, and ensure the client is comfortable and safe.

• CPAP Support: Visually check that the client's CPAP equipment appears to be functioning properly and report concerns according to the care plan and your training.

• Medication Reminders: Provide gentle reminders for scheduled evening and morning medications.

• Light Household Support: Assist with laundry, light housekeeping, and occasional household tasks to help maintain a comfortable living environment.

• Breakfast Preparation: Help prepare breakfast items in advance to make the client's morning routine easier.

• Companionship & Reassurance: Offer friendly conversation, emotional support, and a comforting presence during evening hours.

• Communication & Documentation: Record care activities, complete shift notes, and communicate any concerns or changes in the client's condition to the office team.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys providing thoughtful, one-on-one care and can remain alert, attentive, and responsive throughout an overnight shift.

What We're Looking For

Our ideal Overnight Care Professional is someone who is dependable, compassionate, patient, and comfortable providing hands-on care.

Requirements:

• Availability to work overnight shifts from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM in Marion, IN

• Ability to remain awake, alert, and attentive throughout the overnight shift

• Reliable transportation to and from client homes

• Ability to treat clients and their homes with dignity and respect

• Valid driver's license or state identification

• Valid auto insurance, if applicable for driving clients

• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening

• Ability to lift, push, or pull 25 pounds and perform physical caregiving tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation

Previous caregiving experience is a plus, but not required! We welcome individuals with experience caring for family members, seniors, or individuals who need additional support.
