Caregiver

Home Instead is looking for a compassionate, dependable Care Pro to support older adults in the Elizabeth, IL area.  A calm, patient approach, simple instructions and gentle redirection while not rushing or overwhelming the client will promote comfort and reduce confusion.

This position is ideal for someone looking to build a consistent schedule, with opportunities to add hours  by supporting additional clients in the surrounding communities as more hours become available.

Pay

• Competitive Pay: $17.00–$18.00/hour
• Weekend differential — $1/hour additional pay for eligible work between Friday at 10:00 PM and Sunday at 10:00 PM

Schedules

• Saturday : 8:00 am to 12:00 pm
• Saturday: 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm
• Tuesday and Friday: 5:00 to 9:00 pm
• Saturdays will alternate between day shift and night shift
• Strong attendance, consistency, and communication are essential
• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance required

What You'll Do

• Build meaningful relationships through conversation and companionship
• Prepare light meals and encourage nutrition and hydration
• Provide medication reminders
• Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and household organization
• Provide support for client with limited eyesight
• Encourage safe mobility and help reduce fall risks with hands on assistance and gait belt
• Hands- on assistance with toileting and provide skin protection care
• Provide gentle reminders and structure for client experiencing memory changes
• Complete documentation and communicate changes or concerns to the office
