Iberia & Waynesville, Missouri | $16–$18/hour

Home Instead is hiring an experienced, dependable caregiver who is ready to begin working immediately. This position is best suited for someone who takes commitments seriously, communicates consistently, and wants to build a steady schedule caring for older adults.

We are actively interviewing now. Applicants should be prepared to attend a scheduled interview, complete all hiring requirements promptly, and participate in paid orientation.

Required Availability

To be considered, you must:

• Be available every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
• Be available at least one weekend day each week
• Offer at least 15 hours of availability per week
• Be ready to begin immediately after completing the hiring process
• Have reliable transportation to clients in Iberia or Waynesville
• Be comfortable working in homes with dogs and cats

Additional availability and willingness to serve surrounding communities may provide opportunities to build a larger schedule.

The Caregiver We’re Looking For

• Have professional caregiving experience
• Have supported individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia
• Are confident providing personal care
• Communicate early when questions or concerns arise
• Understand that clients and families depend on you to be present
• Want steady, relationship-based work—not occasional shifts

Consistency matters in home care. When a caregiver misses a commitment, a senior may be left without essential support. We are seeking someone who understands that responsibility and is ready to be counted on.

What You’ll Do

Depending on the client’s needs, responsibilities may include:

• Providing companionship and meaningful engagement
• Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other personal care
• Supporting safe mobility and helping prevent falls
• Providing dementia support, reassurance, and redirection
• Preparing meals and encouraging hydration
• Providing medication reminders
• Completing light housekeeping and laundry
• Assisting with errands or transportation
• Promptly communicating changes or concerns to the office

Required Qualifications

• Previous professional caregiving experience
• Alzheimer’s or dementia-care experience
• Personal-care experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable vehicle and current auto insurance
• Ability to pass required background and drug screenings
• Comfort working in homes with pets
• Dependable attendance and professional communication

CNA certification is preferred but not required.

Pay and Benefits
