Caregiver- Part-Time

Home Instead is looking for caring and compassionate part-time Caregivers—we call ours Care Professionals—to become a part of our team and join our mission of expanding the world’s capacity to care. Home Instead provides a variety of non-medical services that allow aging adults to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion. Our part-time schedule blocks are from 8am- 12pm, 1pm-5pm, and/or 5p-10p; shift times available 7 days/week. You select the days you would like to work! Pay rate = $16/hr

• Companionship and conversation
• Provide personal care and  hygiene assistance for aging adults or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, toileting, dressing and grooming
• Medication and appointment reminders
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Plan and prepare meals and assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform light housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Alzheimer's and Dementia care

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance and reliable transportation every single day
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Ability to treat and care for aging adults and their property with dignity and respect
• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment preferred
• No previous experience necessary but preferred - skills training provided by Home Instead
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
• Take pride in providing high quality care
• Willing to receive pay on a semi-monthly pay schedule
