Male Certified Nurse Assistant CNA

We are hiring a CNA to provide companionship and transportation to a male Wounded Warrior Vet who enjoys purposeful activities.   He prefers a MALE caregiver.  An SUV suited to the warrior's needs will be used to take the warrior out for meals, movies, military related activities such as parades, air shows, sporting events and games, etc.   The warrior  is quadriplegic and is non-verbal but uses a spelling board to communicate, and requires total assistance including feeding.  There are dogs & cats in the home. He has up to 65 hours per month approved, and has requested a schedule of Sat & Sun noon to 8pm. 20.00 dollars an hour.

The right fit will be a candidate who is athletic, enjoys outings and can relate to a wounded warrior.  Experience providing care to a quadriplegic is required.

Responsibilities

• Accompany wounded warrior to events and outings per the warrior's request.
• Able to drive a large SUV customized to the warrior's needs.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergency situations.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• A CNA license, 
• Minimum ONE year experience as a CNA 
• Meet AHCA's requirements for home health agency employment.
