New Car Porter

Hines Park Ford is seeking a reliable and motivated New Car Porter to join our team in New Hudson, MI. As a New Car Porter, you will play a key role in maintaining the presentation and organization of our new vehicle inventory, ensuring a positive experience for our customers and sales team.

Responsibilities

• Move and transport new vehicles within the dealership lot and service areas as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of all new cars, including washing and detailing
• Perform routine inspections of vehicles to ensure they are free from damage and properly prepared for customer delivery
• Assist with vehicle organization in the lot to optimize space and accessibility
• Support the sales and service departments by promptly delivering vehicles and related materials
• Follow all safety protocols and dealership policies while handling vehicles

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to safely operate and maneuver vehicles in various conditions
• Strong attention to detail and pride in vehicle appearance
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as washing and moving vehicles
• Previous experience in a similar role is a plus but not required

• Maintain inventory appearance and performance by cleaning interior and exterior of vehicles, replenishing all vehicle fluids as needed, and replacing batteries when necessary
• Place buyer guides and stock tags in vehicles
• Keep lots neat and orderly, moving cars as directed by the general manager and in accordance with dealership display standards
• Drive vehicles to and from service lane, service stalls, and parking lot as needed
• Make key tags for and handle inventory of vehicles
• Retrieve and deliver vehicles from property locations
• Perform other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Professional attitude and the ability to deliver best-in-class customer service
• Reliable transportation to and from work every single day
