Position Purpose:
Assure cleanliness of guest floor corridors, foyers, stairwells, and public vending areas, and assists room attendants in order to maintain Hilton's high standards of quality.
Essential Functions:
- Respond to all guest requests quickly and professionally.
- Ensure all floors are adequately stocked with linen, amenities and clean glassware.
- Maintain cleanliness of vending areas by wiping down the machines, removing the trash and sanitizing the receptacles, sweeping and mopping.
- RA closets must be kept organized, trash and soiled linen removed, swept and mopped.
- Monitor hallways by removing food trays, empty linen racks and vacuum halls as needed.
- Monitor elevator landings for wet spots, remove trash and sanitize cans, sweep and mop
- floors.
- Assist with carpet cleaning and water extractions.
- Assist the room attendants with removing soiled linen and trash, out of vacant and dirty
- rooms.
- Occasionally assist with bed removals and mattress replacements.
Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability:
- Knowledge of stain removal and chemical cleaning agents, and operation of different types of equipment.
- Effectively communicate with guest and associates.
- Ability to lift, bend, stoop, walk, push, or pull heavy equipment and stand for extended periods of time. Lifting may include equipment or furniture weighing up to 100lbs.
- Must be able to follow instructions, directions, organize and. prioritize work.
- Ability to learn and apply Hazardous Chemical and Performance For Excellence training standards during the new hire introductory period.
- Basic ability to comprehend English language sufficient to understand and communicate information for reasons such as safety and security e.g., product safety labels and emergency instructions.
Experience:
Six months carpet cleaning or houseman, preferably.

Due to the seasonal and business nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules and hours to reflect the staffing needs of the hotel.
