Job Description
Hertrich Ford of Elkton is seeking a qualified and experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our growing service department. This is a full-time role ideal for an A or B-level technician with Ford experience who can efficiently diagnose and repair various automotive systems while delivering exceptional service. You’ll work alongside a supportive team in a fast-paced, professional environment with the tools and resources you need to succeed.

Schedule: Day shift, Monday to Friday, rotating Saturdays

Pay: Determined based on previous experience and certifications
Responsibilities

Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and accurately
-
Diagnose and repair vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, brakes, suspension, A/C, and more
-
Use diagnostic tools and special service equipment to test and troubleshoot issues
-
Communicate clearly with the Service Advisor regarding additional repairs or services needed
-
Provide accurate time estimates and complete repairs under warranty and manufacturer specifications
-
Execute repairs in compliance with dealership and OEM standards
-
Test-drive vehicles to confirm repairs and ensure quality
-
Complete factory training
-
Complete Ford certifications and maintain these certifications overtime

Maintain a clean and safe work area
Qualifications
-
1+ years of service technician experience preferred
-
High school diploma or equivalent; ASE Certification a plus
-
Ford Certification preferred
-
Previous Ford dealership experience is a strong plus

Diagnostic, electrical, and engine repair skills required
-
Excellent hand-eye coordination and mechanical dexterity

Proficient with diagnostic tools and repair procedures

Customer-focused attitude and strong communication skills

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment

Willingness to learn and adapt to new technology and procedures

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
