Job Description

Hertrich Ford of Elkton is currently seeking a motivated and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our high-performing service team. The ideal candidate will act as the key liaison between our customers and service technicians helping schedule appointments, recommend services, and ensure a smooth and transparent service experience. You’ll be expected to build trust with customers, communicate effectively, and support a service department that values quality and accountability.

Job Type & Schedule

Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Day shift, Monday to Friday, rotating Saturdays
Pay: Determined based on previous experience and qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and professionally in person and over the phone

• Clearly understand and document customer concerns for accurate repair diagnostics

• Advise customers on recommended maintenance and repair services

• Provide accurate estimates and keep customers informed on service status

• Coordinate with technicians to ensure work is completed correctly and on time

• Handle warranty and service contract coverage questions

• Ensure a smooth, positive service experience to build customer loyalty

• Maintain accurate repair orders, records, and customer information

• Participate in ongoing product and service training
  
  

Qualifications

• 1+ year of service advisor or customer-facing experience in automotive or related field

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Prior Ford dealership experience is a plus

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Working knowledge of vehicle systems and repair terminology

• Strong attention to detail and customer satisfaction mindset

• Familiarity with dealership management systems (DMS) preferred

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
