About the Role:
We are seeking a qualified Administrator to oversee daily operations at our licensed assisted living community. The Administrator ensures compliance with Michigan licensing rules, manages staff, oversees finances, maintains occupancy, and ensures exceptional resident care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure full compliance with State of Michigan licensing and regulatory standards.
- Oversee all daily operations: staffing, resident care, safety, and facility maintenance. The Administrator is ultimately accountable for complying with all requirements of operating the Living Center under the Heritage Property Management Policies and Procedures and Home for the Aged regulations
- Assuring timely hiring, training, evaluations, and staff development.
- Maintaining occupancy goals through marketing and outreach.
- Manage financial performance of the Living Center as it relates to billing, collections, expenses, and budgets.
- Promote excellent resident, family, and staff relations.
- Serve as Privacy Official for HIPAA compliance.
- Participate in MOD rotation and maintain 24/7 on-call responsibility.
- Timely and appropriate communications to appropriate parties with regards to incidents, events, concerns, and challenges that arise in the Living Center
Qualifications:
- Must meet Michigan licensing requirements for Homes for the Aged Administrators.
- Must exemplify Heritage Property Management Core Values which are: Honesty, Quality, Respect, Teamwork, Potential and Balance.
- BA/BS preferred (or equivalent experience).
- Prior leadership experience in senior living or healthcare strongly preferred.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills.
- Proficient in electronic systems: EMAR, Scheduling Software, Emergency Call systems, Outlook.
- Valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to walk distances on hard surfaces.
- Able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Able to bend, stoop, turn, twist, squat, kneel, push, pull, reach, and stretch.
- Able to sit for extended periods of time.
- Able to perform some repetitive motion tasks.
- Able to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Able to use the telephone and computer for communication.
- Able to read and comprehend written materials in English.
- Able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Licensed driver with the ability to drive to appointments as needed.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary range of $75,000 - $80,000
