Full time Experienced Caregiver 12:00pm-7:30pm

Job Summary:
Help at Home Senior Care Santa Rosa is seeking experienced, reliable, and compassionate caregivers to join our team to provide in-home care for a wonderful male client. This is a full-time position, scheduled from 12:00 PM to 7:30 PM.

The ideal candidate must have prior experience working with individuals with dementia and be comfortable driving the client to various daily outings, which are a vital part of his routine and well-being.

You will be supporting a kind and thoughtful gentleman who enjoys listening to jazz music, spending time at the beach, and going out to lunch at local restaurants. He values connection and calm companionship and thrives with a structured routine that includes time outdoors and engaging conversation.

The role includes assistance with personal care, and caregivers should be confident and respectful in helping with daily hygiene and mobility needs. Due to his dementia, the client may sometimes experience anxiety or confusion, so it’s essential that the caregiver has strong skills in gentle redirection, emotional reassurance, and patient, empathetic communication.

This position offers a competitive salary of $22-23.50 per hour to start with training certifications available to take your pay up another $1.50 over the next six months. Caregivers are paid on a weekly basis.

Responsibilities:
• Provide assistance with daily activities including personal care.
• Assist with meal preparation and planning.
• Medication reminders according to care plan and document any changes or concerns.
• Monitor and report any changes in client's health or behavior.
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks.
• Maintain accurate and organized documentation of client care and progress

Requirements:
• Minimum of 1 years of experience as a caregiver or in a related field.
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Current Drivers License and Auto insurance 
• Experience working with seniors and individuals with disabilities or chronic conditions is a plus
