Automotive Acquisition Specialist

At Hello Subaru and Mazda, we are seeking an experienced Vehicle Acquisition Specialist to join our pre-owned buying team. This is a high-impact role focused on buying directly from service drive guests, private-party sellers, and strategic auction partners. You will assist in building a profitable, consistent inventory to support our sales team at our Temecula location.  Hello is a privately owned and operated Dealer group, and our Temecula location consists of the Subaru and Mazda brands.  At Hello, we have a passion for used cars.  We want individuals who enjoy all aspects of used cars, want to support the sales team, and be part of the success.

Your focus will consist

 

      Salary range: from $50K- $110K per year. 

• Source from Private Sellers:
  Engage with vehicle owners across digital platforms, social media, classifieds, and referrals. Manage the process from first contact to inspection, offer, and purchase.
• Supplement with Auction Buying:
  Use tools like Manheim, AccuTrade, and vAuto Stockwave/Inventory+ to selectively acquire high-demand models that align with our market needs.
• Analyze the  Market
  Use our tools to analyze the market and identify fast-moving cars as well as pockets of inventory needed within the dealership.
• Collaborate Across Departments:
  Work closely with Service, Sales, and Management to balance inventory mix, optimize appraisals, and deliver a seamless customer experience from the first handshake to the final handshake.

 

Qualifications

• Proven success in vehicle acquisition, buying, or appraising — dealership or wholesale experience required, Carmax and Carvana buyers are encouraged to apply. .
• Deep knowledge of market valuation tools, condition assessments, and retail demand forecasting.
• Strong Customer Facing skills
• High energy and a capacity to out hustle the competition
