Join Our Leadership Team

Healing and Helping Home Health is seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as our Director of Nursing (DON). This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Home Health agency during its startup phase and help build a high-quality clinical program from the ground up.

The selected candidate will provide clinical leadership, oversee patient care services, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate closely with the Administrator to establish strong clinical operations.

Please Note: This position is contingent upon approval of our Indiana Home Health Agency license. We are currently completing the state licensing process and are seeking a qualified Director of Nursing to join our leadership team in preparation for agency operations.

Position Details

• Position: Director of Nursing (RN)
• Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
• Employment Type: Part-Time (Initial Startup Phase)
• Compensation: $50.00 per hour
• Expected Start Date: Approximately October 19, 2026 (contingent upon Indiana Home Health licensure)
• Hours: Approximately 10–20 hours per week initially, with opportunities for additional hours as the agency grows and patient census increases.

Responsibilities

The Director of Nursing will:

• Provide clinical leadership and oversight for all nursing services.
• Conduct or oversee Start of Care (SOC), Resumption of Care (ROC), Recertification, and Discharge assessments.
• Ensure compliance with Indiana Home Health regulations and applicable Medicare Conditions of Participation.
• Supervise and support Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Home Health Aides.
• Review physician orders, care plans, and clinical documentation.
• Ensure accurate and timely OASIS documentation.
• Lead Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities.
• Assist with policy implementation and survey readiness.
• Collaborate with physicians, referral sources, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Participate in staff orientation, education, and competency evaluations.
• Promote quality patient care and positive clinical outcomes.

Qualifications

Required

• Current, unrestricted Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience.
• Home Health experience.
• Supervisory or leadership experience.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Preferred

• OASIS experience.
• Medicare Home Health experience.
• Case Management experience.
• QAPI and Quality Assurance experience.
• Previous Director of Nursing or Clinical Supervisor experience.
