We are excited to announce an opening for a Pool Attendant to become a vital member of our team! This position is responsible for overseeing the safety and cleanliness of the pool area, ensuring that all guests are informed of pool rules and regulations, maintaining the pool area and its equipment, and delivering exceptional customer service. While First Aid and CPR certification is preferred, it is not mandatory. Reliability and outstanding customer service skills are essential.

Position: Pool Attendant
Location: Honolulu, Hawaii (Waikiki)

Schedule:  Varies: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM and 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM
Hourly Rate: $18.00 - $21.00
Key Responsibilities:

-Greet guests upon arrival, distribute towels, assist with seating, and consistently deliver exceptional guest service.
-Monitor and patrol the pool area, ensuring guests are aware of safety regulations.
-Provide outstanding service in line with hotel standards and brand attributes.

-Remain knowledgeable about hotel facilities and services to effectively respond to guest inquiries.
-Identify and report any defects or hazards in the pool area immediately to supervisors and relevant departments.
-Maintain cleanliness of the pool attendant desk/swimming pool and report any maintenance issues to the engineering department.
-Ensure the pool deck is swept and watered down and that all furniture is in the correct place when setting up in the morning or breaking down in the evening. 
-Keep the pool deck and facilities clean by straightening and stacking chairs, collecting soiled towels and trash, moving chairs and towels, replacing flags, and cleaning signs.

-Empty the trash cans surrounding the pool area.

-Scrub and clean the pool tiles surrounding the pool area.

-Brush and vacuum debris from the inside of the pool.

-Take chemical test readings and record findings on log sheet.

-Collaborate closely with other departments to enhance the guest experience.

-Perform other duties assigned by HBM supervisor.

Skills/Requirements:

-A high school diploma or equivalent is required; specialized training in pool operations or hospitality is preferred.

-A valid driver’s license is preferred but not mandatory.

-Strong public relations and communication skills are essential.

-Must be able to work in various weather conditions.

-Current First Aid and CPR certifications are preferred.

-Physical ability to lift, push, pull, bend, and move equipment and supplies as needed (minimum of 25 to 50 lbs.) is required.

-Ability to work as a team and individually
