Restoration Apprentice

We are looking for a dedicated, skilled, and reliable individual with excellent customer service abilities to join HBM Restoration. This position involves assisting in the repair of both residential and commercial properties. Applicants should have the following qualifications: a valid driver’s license, a reliable vehicle, basic knowledge of hand tools, and a strong willingness to learn. Candidates must be capable of standing, walking, kneeling, crawling, climbing, and bending for extended periods, and lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying between 50 to 70 pounds, including navigating several flights of stairs and floor levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service to interact with property managers, vendors, and customers
• Collaborate with team members to efficiently complete projects
• Participate in on-the-job training towards becoming a Restoration Technician, learning fundamentals of mitigation, understanding balance drying systems, cycle metrics, antimicrobial and demolition processes, painting, drywall, and grounds maintenance
• Apply safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
• Conduct routine checks and inspections to identify potential issues
• Document maintenance activities and report progress
• Work in warm/hot conditions, utilize stairs, and navigate ladders
• Perform additional maintenance-related duties as required by HBM supervisors or property management
• Work alongside the Restoration team to meet and exceed customer needs

Skills/Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle
• Pass a background check for insurance purposes
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
• Keep accurate records of time cards, checkout forms, vehicle records, and any job paperwork
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to read, write, text, and email
• Customer service-oriented
• Willingness to learn and improve

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm primarily

Availability to work 24/7: on-call, weekend work, and assist with emergency calls/projects as needed

On-call hours: Monday to Friday, 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm, and Saturdays 9:00 am – 6:00 pm

Compensation Range: $17.00 to $19.00 per hour
