Full-Time Janitorial Overnight (Waikiki Oahu)

The full-time Janitorial Overnight position, based in Waikiki, involves a variety of cleaning tasks to keep both the indoor and outdoor areas of the retail center. Applicants should possess good communication abilities and customer service aptitude.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and maintain common areas: Sweep, dust, mop, vacuum, shampoo carpet, operate ride on machine, operate floor scrubber, power wash and wipe down surfaces (chair and tables), clean Restrooms, operate baler machines, and operate trash compactor.

Climb safely: Use a ladder to access higher surfaces

Communicate effectively: Understand and converse in English with the team and property manager

Ensure cleanliness: Maintain the cleanliness of common areas within the building

Trash disposal: Remove and dispose of trash in designated areas

Stand and walk for extended periods

Follow safety protocols: Adhere to all safety procedures

Report issues: Notify management of safety concerns or building problems, such as burnt light bulbs, etc.

Maintenance reporting: Report maintenance issues when necessary

Perform all other duties as assigned 

 

Skills/Qualifications:

Background check clearance is required

High school diploma/GED preferred

Ability to read and follow verbal and written instructions in English is necessary

Good public relations and communication skills are essential.

Previous janitorial, custodian or related experience is preferred, and willing to train

Applicants must be capable of performing basic manual labor, including: Cleaning common areas pressing, pushing, and pulling, frequently lifting and carrying a minimum of 25lbs (up to 50lbs). Reaching overhead, grasping objects, bending, kneeling, walking, crawling, squatting, climbing, and stretching. Navigating stairs and using a ladder, as well as standing for the duration of their shifts

 

Schedule:

Monday to Friday: 6am-2:30pm

Days off: Saturday & Sunday

40 hours per week

 

Compensation: $18.50/per hour
