Our company is looking for a full-time Maintenance Floater with experience in the industry. Under the direct supervision of the Chief Building Engineer or Account Manager-Engineering, the Maintenance Floater will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures, in addition to performing grounds maintenance. Candidates must have a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, previous hands-on maintenance experience, light plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and painting experience is required. All work will be done in compliance with EPA, Hazmat and OSHA safety rules and regulations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs: painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) and grounds maintenance
  • Excellent customer service skills to interact with property managers, vendors, customers, etc.
  • Drive to different locations to provide coverage
  • Able to lift, push, pull a minimum of 50lbs up to 75lbs, walk, bend, stretch during shift
  • Ensure mechanical equipment and systems are working in order and fixed as necessary.
  • Create and maintain work orders
  • Create and maintain purchase orders
  • Perform any additional maintenance related duties as required by HBM supervisor/property management

 

Skills/Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
  • Must pass background check
  • Must have a vehicle
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Must have basic hand tools
  • General preventative maintenance experience is required (Basic commercial plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall)
  • Troubleshooting abilities
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
  • Must have good public relations skills and communication
  • Customer service oriented 
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Applicants must perform basic manual labor, clean common areas, frequently lift, push, pull, carry a minimum of 50lbs (up to 75lbs), be able to reach overhead, grasp objects, bend, kneel, crawl, squat, climb, stretch, walk, walk up and down a stairway, climb up/down a ladder and stand throughout their shift.

Schedule: Variable, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am - 8:30pm (5 days, 40 hours a week)

**Must have open availability, subjective to emergencies: after hours, weekends and holidays**

 

Compensation: $25.00/per hour
