Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM) is seeking a visionary and results-driven President to lead the organization through its next phase of strategic growth and operational excellence. The President will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of company operations, driving business development, cultivating client relationships, and ensuring superior service delivery across commercial and residential facilities in Hawaii. This executive will serve as the face of the company, fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, and innovation aligned with HBM’s mission and values.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute the company’s strategic vision in alignment with long-term goals.
  • Identify growth opportunities, including new markets, service lines, partnerships, and acquisitions.
  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to shape policies, budgets, and performance benchmarks.
  • Operational Management
  • Oversee all departments including Operations, Sales, Finance, Human Resources, and Compliance.
  • Ensure efficiency, quality control, and cost-effectiveness across service delivery operations.
  • Implement systems and processes that drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Financial Oversight

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Monitor financial performance to meet or exceed revenue, profit, and EBITDA goals.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks while maximizing profitability and ROI.

 Business Development & Client Relations

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Lead contract negotiations and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality services.
  • Represent HBM in business and community events, elevating the brand’s visibility and reputation.

 People Leadership

  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, safety, and service excellence.
  • Develop and mentor executive leadership and key management staff.
  • Promote a diverse, inclusive, and engaging work environment.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (MBA preferred). 
  • Minimum of 10 years in senior leadership roles, with proven experience managing P&L responsibilities.
  • Experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or a related services industry highly preferred.

 Skills & Competencies

  • Strategic thinker with a strong operational and financial acumen.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build consensus and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Deep understanding of Hawaii’s business, cultural, and regulatory environment is a plus.
  • Proficient in the use of CRM systems and Google Suite.

Compensation range: $200,000 to $250,000/per year
