Work Order Dispatcher

Job Summary: Hall Buick GMC is seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Automotive Work Order Dispatcher to join our team. The dispatcher will be responsible for managing incoming work orders, coordinating with technicians, and ensuring timely and accurate service delivery. This role is crucial in maintaining smooth operations within the automotive service department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and process incoming work orders from customers and service advisors.
• Assign work orders to technicians based on skill level, availability, and workload.
• Monitor the progress of work orders and communicate updates to customers and team members.
• Maintain accurate records of work orders, including parts used, labor hours, and completion status.
• Collaborate with service advisors to ensure customer needs are met.
• Manage scheduling and prioritize urgent or time-sensitive repairs.
• Utilize dispatch software and tools to track work order status and efficiency.
• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues related to work orders or service delays.
• Assist in inventory management by keeping track of parts and supplies needed for repairs.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional automotive training or certification is a plus.
• Previous experience in an automotive service department or dispatch role is preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in dispatch software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
