We are looking for someone who takes initiative, accepts responsibility, and is interested in understanding not just how accounting processes work, but why they matter to the overall success of the business.

While automotive dealership accounting experience is beneficial, it is not required. We are willing to invest in the right individual who brings a strong accounting foundation, a desire to learn, and the potential to grow professionally.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform daily accounting functions and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and other general ledger accounts.
  • Participate in month-end and year-end closing procedures.

  • Analyze financial information, identify discrepancies, and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Prepare financial reports, schedules, and analyses using Microsoft Excel.
  • Assist with financial statement preparation and internal reporting.
  • Support internal controls and ensure compliance with established accounting procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, efficiency, and accuracy.
  • Assist with audits and provide necessary financial documentation.
  • Develop an understanding of dealership accounting operations and financial processes.
  • Work collaboratively with management, accounting personnel, and other departments to resolve issues and support business operations.
  • Assume additional accounting responsibilities as experience and knowledge develop.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
  • Two to five years of accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to organize and analyze financial data.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn new accounting systems and dealership-specific procedures.
  • Professionalism, integrity, dependability, and a strong work ethic.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are looking for more than someone who can complete assigned accounting tasks. We want an individual who is naturally curious, takes initiative, and is motivated to continually improve their knowledge and abilities.

The successful candidate will be comfortable asking questions, investigating discrepancies, developing solutions, and taking responsibility for their work.
