Job Summary

The Senior Banquet Captain at Hacienda Del Sol Resort is a part time, commission based position. This individual contributor role is responsible for providing exemplary service to Hacienda Del Sol’s guests and patrons, ensuring that all events and meetings are carried out smoothly, efficiently, and according to plan. This position works harmoniously with all team members in order to provide guests with the highest quality hospitality services. Will provide leadership to our team of Banquet Captains, Servers, Bartenders and setup staff. 


Responsibilities

• Demonstrate superior communication and organizational skills to oversee events such as weddings, banquets, meetings, and conferences

• Supervises team of Banquet Captains, Servers, Bartenders and setup staff 

• Provide service excellence for hotel guests and event patrons

• Set up, replenish, breakdown, and clean up meeting spaces in a timely fashion

• Responsible for controlling food costs by keeping accurate records and monitoring supplies

• Troubleshoot and handle any service issues

• Ensure that all food safety regulations and Hacienda Del Sol Resort standards are upheld

• Execute all functions related to meeting room operability, including tech setup and AV equipment

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Banquet Captain or similar banquet leadership position

• Ability to remain composed in a fast-paced environment

• Understands and applies safety and sanitation norms

• Ability to stand for long periods of time

• Service-minded and available to work flexible hours

• Basic computer proficiency
