Express Technician

Job Description
Garden City Ford is hiring a Express Technician to perform essential maintenance services
and inspections. You’ll be responsible for performing oil changes, tire rotations, inspections, and
other preventative services that keep our customers' vehicles safe and reliable. This is an
excellent entry point for someone looking to grow into a more advanced technician role.

 
Responsibilities

 
Change engine oil and oil filters
Rotate and balance tires
Perform multi-point vehicle inspections
Replace engine and cabin air filters, fuel filters, and other wear items
Mount and balance new tires
Drive vehicles for testing when needed
Identify worn or damaged components and report findings
Use power tools, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment
Follow safety and manufacturer service procedures
Maintain a clean and organized work environment Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year experience in an automotive service department
Ford certification is a plus
Previous experience at a Ford dealership is a plus
High school diploma or GED required
Technical degree preferred
ASE certifications preferred
Basic computer skills and familiarity with repair order systems
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Comfortable using diagnostic equipment and tools
Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and customer-focused approach
Effective communication, reading, and basic math skills
Willingness to learn and grow within the company
