Griswold Home Care is looking for a fantastic individual to provide field support to our clients and caregivers throughout Maricopa County. The Lead Caregiver reports directly to the Care Coordinator(s) and is a key member of our team, ensuring clients receive exceptional care and support. This role involves onboarding new clients, refining care plans, and supervising caregivers to ensure safe and organized home environments. The Lead Caregiver steps in as needed to support clients and staff, filling gaps and providing guidance to keep our team running smoothly and our clients well cared for.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Lead Caregiver will be available to fill-in on client visits throughout the week.
  • Conduct periodic care log audits, following up on action items reported by staff.
  • Conduct in-home supervisory visits with clients/caregiver for quality assurance.
  • Conduct staff introduction for new hire’s that have been assigned to a client.
  • Conduct Case Opener visits, assist with onboarding new clients, creating/modifying care plans to match client’s needs.
  • Notify relevant parties of client changes, family situation, and case needs.
  • Provide encouraging feedback and coaching/training to caregivers.
  • Monitor client home safety and organization.
  • Other tasks and projects may be assigned.

Hours, Compensation, & Schedule Requirements

  • Schedule: Lead Caregivers are expected to be available to fill visits five days a week from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. They are guaranteed at least 40 hours of pay per week, regardless of the number of hours actually worked—unless they decline a qualifying visit or assignment that falls within their availability window. In such cases, the Lead Caregiver will be paid only for the hours worked.
  • Compensation: Lead Caregivers earn $21.00 per hour and are classified as “non-exempt,” meaning they are eligible for overtime pay (time and a half) for any hours worked beyond 40 in a workweek, as required by law.
  • Time Off: Requests for time off must be submitted by email at least two weeks in advance so Case Management can arrange coverage. Time off requests are subject to approval.
