Experienced In-Home Caregiver – Day, Evening, and Overnight Shifts

Northern Vermont | $21-$25/hour based on experience and client needs plus incentives

We’re Looking for People We Can Count On.

If you’re an experienced caregiver who shows up, communicates, follows through, and takes pride in your work, we want to meet you.

At Griswold Home Care for Northern Vermont, our clients depend on us for consistency and peace of mind. That means we need caregivers who understand that reliability and communication are just as important as compassion.

We’re looking for experienced caregivers who want to build lasting relationships with clients and become trusted members of their care team.

This position may be a great fit if you:

  • Have 2+ years of experience caring for older adults in a home care or facility setting
  • Take your scheduled shifts seriously
  • Arrive on time and are prepared to work
  • Communicate promptly when an issue arises
  • Are comfortable working independently in a client's home
  • Follow care plans and office instructions
  • Notice changes in a client's condition, mood, or needs and communicate them appropriately
  • Take initiative rather than waiting to be told what needs to be done
  • Treat clients, families, and coworkers with professionalism and respect

If you frequently cancel shifts, arrive late, or have difficulty communicating with an office team, this position is probably not the right fit.

Our clients deserve caregivers they can depend on, and our office team needs caregivers who communicate with us when something changes.

We don't expect perfection. We do expect honesty, accountability, and communication.

We’re not just looking for someone who can complete a checklist.

We're looking for caregivers who:

SHOW UP.
You understand that your client may be counting on you to be there.

COMMUNICATE.
You keep the office informed and don't leave people guessing when something changes.

FOLLOW THROUGH.
When you say you'll do something, you do it.

PAY ATTENTION.
You notice when something isn't quite right and speak up.

TAKE OWNERSHIP.
You look for ways to make your client's day better instead of simply doing the bare minimum.

TREAT PEOPLE WITH DIGNITY.
You understand that you're working in someone's home and respect their independence, privacy, and preferences.
