Human Resource Assistant – Griswold Home Care for Greater Beaumont 

Position Title: Human Resource Assistant 
Reports To: Owner/Director 

 Location: Beaumont TX 

 Employment Type: Full Time 
Salary Range: 20-23/HR 

 

Position Overview 

The Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for managing all HR functions within our home care organization, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, training, and performance management. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our team members are supported, our workplace remains compliant with labor laws, and our caregivers are empowered to provide exceptional care to our clients. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

Recruitment & Onboarding 

Develop and execute caregiver recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates. 

Post job openings, screen resumes, conduct interviews, and coordinate background checks. 

Facilitate a smooth onboarding process, including orientation and initial training. 

Employee Relations 

Serve as the main point of contact for HR-related inquiries and concerns. 

Promote a positive and supportive work environment that aligns with our mission and values. 

Address and resolve employee concerns, conflicts, or grievances professionally. 

Compliance & Documentation 

Maintain employee records in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. 

Ensure adherence to employment laws, caregiver licensing requirements, and company policies. 

Coordinate with management to maintain workplace safety and health compliance. 

Training & Development 

Organize and track caregiver training, including continuing education and skills development. 

Provide coaching and guidance to supervisors and team leads on HR best practices. 

Performance Management 

Implement performance evaluation processes. 

Assist in setting employee goals and identifying professional development opportunities. 

Manage disciplinary actions and terminations in accordance with company policy. 

 

Qualifications 

Experience: Minimum 1 year in HR; home care or healthcare industry experience preferred. 

Skills: 

Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices. 

Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. 

Proficiency in HR software, Microsoft Office Suite, and applicant tracking systems. 

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. 

 

Working Conditions 

Office-based with occasional travel to client sites and recruitment events. 

May require flexible hours to meet recruitment and employee needs.
