Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 18 – 24 per week

Griswold Home Care for Howard County, Maryland, a skilled services home care agency, is currently searching for a Part-Time Registered Nurse whose approach to care in the community coincides with the company’s mission and vision of assisting those who wish to remain independent in their homes for as long as possible. The RN will be working in our Old Town office in the Columbia Town Center and in clients’ homes in the Howard County/Columbia area. The position is 18 to 24 hours, 2-3 days a week Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities:

• Perform initial nursing assessments and ongoing cognition screens at start of care and develop an individualized care plan for each new client including recommendations for care hours.
• Perform follow-up visits as per state licensing requirements and at client status changes.
• Accurately monitor and record data regarding patients' conditions; document all provided care services.
• Collaborate with community care partners to support the provision of quality care to each client.
• Supervise and support CNAs to ensure that they are fully equipped to provide the highest quality care to our clients. The support provided to our caregivers has earned Griswold Home Care national recognition.
• Other duties as necessary to the support the Lead Field Nurse.

Qualifications

• Active RN Nursing license Maryland required.
• 1+ years working as a nurse in a home care, home health or hospice setting (preferred).
• Evidence of continued learning to maintain proficiency of professional and technical emerging knowledge.
• Experience working with an older adult population preferred.
• Exceptional problem solving, prioritizing, and multitasking skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills that allow the development of rapport between the clients, caregivers, and internal staff.
• Possess initiative to make independent decisions when required.
• Ability to act swiftly in emergency situations.
