Registered Nurse

Oversee and monitor the health, care and progress of clients receiving home health care.Monitoring the health of our clients helps us provide them with the best home care possible.

• Assess clients' condition during every visit and track any observations
• Take and record measurements of vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, etc
• Administer medication as prescribed by the client's physician
• Dress or redress open wounds and assess progress of healing
• Continuously educate clients, their families and other caregivers on proper home health care strategies and procedures
• Provide palliative care as needed to keep the client comfortable
• Make recommendations for devices or tools that might improve the client's quality of life
• Listen to clients and be prepared to respond to concerns or requests

• Bachelor's degree in nursing; current nursing license in the state of NY
• Current CPR Certification; Access to reliable transportation
• Ability to work independently and with directions
• Compassionate and friendly demeanor
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word to document and track client care activity
