About The Role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Estate Sales Lead to join our expanding team. In this pivotal, part-time, role, you will provide leadership and support across all aspects of our estate sales and business liquidations. You will work collaboratively with the Sale Manager, take initiative in overseeing sale execution, and mentor less experienced team members, contributing directly to the success and growth of our company. Responsibilities of an Estate Sales Lead:

Assist the Sale Manager in the comprehensive oversight of estate sales and business liquidations.

Sale Preparation: Efficiently and effectively prepare sale sites, including thoughtfully removing items from storage, strategically staging merchandise for optimal presentation and flow, and accurately pricing items to achieve maximum profitability while aligning with sale objectives.

Ensure clear and effective signage, both within the property and externally, adhering to Grasons brand standards.

Proactively support and guide new sales team members, offering mentorship and practical assistance as needed.

During the Sale: Engage with customers in a helpful and informative manner, addressing inquiries and facilitating sales. Identify and price any items missed during the initial preparation phase. Accurately track sales transactions and strategically restage items as needed to maintain an appealing presentation throughout the sale.

Address and resolve on-site challenges and customer concerns swiftly and effectively, aligning with team goals and company values.

Post-Sale Activities: Oversee the efficient breakdown of sale setups, coordinate the timely removal of any remaining debris or unsold items, and ensure all Grasons signage is promptly retrieved at the end of each sale day.

Execute any additional tasks or directives provided by the Sale Manager to ensure the smooth and successful completion of each sale.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of demonstrable experience in sales or purchasing within secondary consumer markets (e.g., estate sales, consignment, antiques, resale).

Proven ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with the public.

Strong observational and analytical skills, with the capacity to identify and communicate potential improvements to processes or sale strategies.

Flexibility to work a schedule that may vary based on the needs of the business and individual sales.

Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems, preferably Square.

Demonstrated ability to think critically, problem-solve independently, and exercise sound judgment in a dynamic environment.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Must possess a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and proof of auto insurance.

Willingness and ability to travel to various sale locations within a 30-mile radius of Apple Valley, MN.
