What You'll Do
We're looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Phlebotomist who is committed to delivering exceptional patient care through accurate specimen collection and laboratory support.
- Collect blood and other patient specimens using a variety of collection techniques, including venipuncture and finger sticks.
- Verify patient identity and prepare specimens for laboratory testing and analysis.
- Perform drug screenings and breath alcohol testing.
- Process and prepare specimens for transport while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Answer multiline phones and respond to email and fax inquiries.
- Process department mail and complete other clerical duties as needed.
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide carrier services when required.
- Maintain accurate documentation and perform other duties as assigned.
- Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned
Who We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is dependable, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys balancing hands-on patient interactions with clerical and operational responsibilities.
- Certification as a Phlebotomist preferred.
- American Heart Association BLS certification required within 3 months of hire and maintained throughout employment.
- 0 to 2 years of phlebotomy experience or equivalent preferred.
- Knowledge of phlebotomy practices, patient safety, specimen collection, and laboratory procedures.
- Strong problem-solving, organization, and quality assurance skills.
- Ability to work independently and remain calm in emergency situations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients, providers, and coworkers.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
- Experience with arterial blood collection and general specimen collection preferred.
- Ability to become proficient within six months in Microsoft Office and applicable hospital systems, including Meditech, Kronos, HealthStream, Mayo, Carescripts, Allscripts, and Galactica.

Our total rewards package includes
- Pay Range: $20.43 - $27.55/hour (based on experience)
- Shift Differentials: $2–$4/hour for nights and weekends, and other incentive pay available.
- PRN Differential: 10% differential in addition to base rate salary
