What You’ll Do
This position provides athletic training, sports medicine, rehabilitation, wellness, and fitness services to athletes and patients across Grand River Hospital District, local schools, physician offices, and athletic venues. The Athletic Trainer will help prevent and treat injuries, support athlete wellness, and provide hands-on care under physician direction.
- Plan, organize, market, and deliver athletic training, sports medicine, rehabilitation, wellness, and fitness programs.
- Provide athletic training services at local schools, sporting events, physician offices, and other athletic venues, including occasional coverage at hosted events.
- Evaluate and treat athletic injuries, develop treatment strategies to reduce pain and improve mobility, and assist with injury prevention under physician direction.
- Assist with patient evaluation, testing, exercise instruction, and demonstration, while providing sports medicine care to athletes of all ages.
- May oversee and provide guidance to student Athletic Trainers and perform other related duties as assigned.
- Perform a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a licensed and nationally certified Athletic Trainer who is passionate about supporting athletes through injury prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, and performance. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical skills and experience working in an athletic or healthcare setting.
- Bachelor’s degree from a CAATE-accredited Athletic Training program.
- Current Colorado DORA Athletic Trainer license and successful completion of the Board of Certification (BOC) national certification exam.
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification, or obtain within the first 3 months of employment and maintain active certification throughout GRHD employment.
- Previous experience working with high schools, colleges, professional sports teams, sports medicine programs, or hospitals preferred.
- Strong communication, clinical judgment, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with athletes, patients, physicians, coaches, and healthcare teams.

Compensation may vary outside this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
