Emergency Department Tech

What You’ll Do

Works under the direction of a Registered Nurse, Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner or Physician. Collaborates with Emergency Department, other departments and healthcare team to ensure quality patient care is provided. Serves as a member of the trauma/code/sepsis/stroke team.

  • Obtains patient vitals and EKG, orders and obtains labs, starts IVs, assists with patient care work flow.
  • Transports and rooms patients, answers phones/emails
  • Communicates efficiently with Emergency Department members and other departments, hospitals, dispatch, etc.
  • Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.

 

Who We’re Looking For

  • Training in any and/or all of the following classes, Paramedic, basic EMT training, Medical Assistant, Certified Nurse Assistant.
  • Must have current American Heart Association BLS certification upon hire and maintain current status throughout GRHD employment. 
  • A minimum of 6 months’ experience in a similar role is preferred.

 

What We Offer

  • Pay Range: $20.43 - $29.76/hour (based on experience)
  • Shift Differentials: $2–$4/hour for nights and weekends
  • PRN Differential: 10% differential in addition to base rate salary
