Body Shop Estimator

Grand Island Motor Company is seeking an experienced, organized, and customer-focused Body Shop Estimator to join our collision repair team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who understands the collision repair process, enjoys working with customers, and can effectively coordinate between customers, insurance companies, technicians, and parts personnel.

As a Body Shop Estimator, you will be responsible for inspecting damaged vehicles, preparing accurate repair estimates, communicating with customers and insurance companies, and helping manage repairs from the initial estimate through completion. You will play an important role in creating a smooth, professional experience for customers during what can often be a stressful situation.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, knowledgeable about collision repair, an excellent communicator, and comfortable managing multiple repairs and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect damaged vehicles and prepare accurate repair estimates
• Document damage with photos, notes, and supporting information
• Communicate estimates, repair plans, and timelines with customers
• Work with insurance companies and adjusters on estimates, supplements, and approvals
• Coordinate with technicians, parts personnel, and management throughout the repair process
• Monitor repair progress and keep customers informed of status or changes
• Ensure estimates include necessary parts, labor, materials, and repair procedures
• Maintain accurate repair documentation and customer records
• Address customer questions and concerns professionally
• Help ensure repairs meet dealership quality and customer satisfaction standards

Qualifications

• Previous body shop, collision estimating, or related automotive experience preferred
• Knowledge of collision repair procedures, parts, and refinishing processes
• Experience with collision estimating software preferred
• Familiarity with insurance claims and supplements is a plus
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple repairs and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong computer and documentation skills
• Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
• I-CAR training or certification is a plus
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screening
