Grand Island Motor Company is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our growing service department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys helping people, building relationships, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

 

As a Service Advisor, you will serve as the primary liaison between customers and the service department. You will help customers understand their vehicle’s maintenance and repair needs while ensuring a smooth and professional service experience from check-in through vehicle delivery.

 

Whether you have previous automotive experience or come from a customer service, hospitality, retail, restaurant, or call center background, we provide the training and support needed to help you succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally in the service drive
  • Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the vehicle service process
  • Write repair orders and accurately document customer concerns
  • Explain recommended maintenance and repair services to customers
  • Provide regular updates regarding vehicle status and repair timelines
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure a positive ownership experience
  • Manage the flow of the service lane to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Coordinate technician workload and distribute repair orders effectively
  • Ensure technician time is utilized efficiently to maximize department productivity
  • Answer customer inquiries by phone, email, text message, and in person
  • Resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly
  • Build strong relationships with customers to encourage retention and repeat business
  • Maintain communication between customers, technicians, and service management
  • Follow dealership processes and maintain accurate records in dealership software systems

 

 

Qualifications

  • Previous Service Advisor experience preferred but not required
  • Customer service, hospitality, restaurant, retail sales, call center, or business development experience encouraged to apply
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Basic computer and data entry proficiency
  • Team-oriented mindset and strong work ethic
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
