We are seeking an experienced Full-Time Salesperson for the Carefree Boat Club to help deliver exceptional customer service and create a unique, memorable experience for our members. This role will support the Boat Club Membership and Rentals Director in driving the success of the Boat Club.

 

Job Summary:

The Boat Club Salesperson will report to the Boat Club Membership and Rentals Director and assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Boat Club Memberships.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate the unique experience offered by Goodhue Boat Company and Carefree Boat Club and convert prospects into members.
  • Conduct sales presentations and tours of the club facilities (on location and remote).
  • Follow up with leads and inquiries to convert them to memberships.
  • Networking and guerrilla marketing experience is essential.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills required.
  • Ability for relentless customer follow-up via phone and email.
  • Prospects remain solid leads until they request removal from our database.
  • Participation in boat shows, trade shows, open houses, member socials, and other off-site events is required.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and member information.
  • Prepare and submit regular sales reports to management.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of sales strategies and goals.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as operations and customer service, to ensure a seamless member experience.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall success of the club.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and new sales techniques.

 

Qualifications:

  • Sales experience is required.
  • Strong background in the service industry or intangible product sales preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Strong customer service skills and team-oriented.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in person, over the phone, and via email.
  • Experience with LightSpeed EVO is a plus.
  • Boating knowledge and familiarity with Mastercraft, Sylvan, Chaparral, Premier Pontoons, and Cobalt boats is a plus.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time

 

Education:High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Boating experience, a plus.
  • Knowledge of Mastercraft, Sylvan, Chaparral, Premier Pontoons and Cobalt boats a plus.

 

Salary:

  • Base + Commission, based on experience. Full-time, Year Round.
  • $55,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
