Position Summary:

North Ave Immediate Care is seeking a compassionate and reliable Bilingual Medical Assistant to join our busy urgent care team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, support clinical operations, and communicate effectively with English and Spanish-speaking patients. This role involves both clinical and administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced, immediate care environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and check in patients, verify insurance, and update medical records

• Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments

• Perform vital signs, intake assessments, and patient histories

• Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider

• Conduct point-of-care tests (strep, flu, urinalysis, glucose, etc.)

• Prepare exam rooms and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment

• Support front desk tasks, including scheduling, answering phones, and patient communication

• Translate and communicate medical information accurately between patients and medical staff

• Ensure proper documentation in the EMR system

• Assist with triage and patient flow to ensure smooth operations

• Follow all clinical protocols, infection control standards, and HIPAA guidelines

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required

• Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, etc.) preferred

• Bilingual in English and Spanish required

• Previous urgent care or clinical experience preferred

• Strong communication, multitasking, and customer service skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with diverse patient populations

• Basic proficiency with EMR systems

Work Schedule:
