Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Compliance Leader to join our Health Care Organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in medical compliance, particularly with the Illinois Department of Aging (IDOA) and the Illinois Department of Health (IDPH). This role requires a dynamic leader with the ability to influence teams, review and write policies, and ensure our organization adheres to all relevant regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the compliance team to ensure adherence to all medical compliance regulations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures in accordance with IDOA and IDPH guidelines.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with current and future state and federal regulations.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance-related matters.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance initiatives are integrated into all aspects of the organization.
- Monitor changes in regulations and update policies and procedures accordingly.
- Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and regulatory bodies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all compliance-related inquiries and issues.
- Foster a culture of compliance and ethical behavior within the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Regulatory Science, Public Policy, Public Health or a related field. A Master's degree is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in medical compliance, with specific experience in IDOA and IDPH regulations.
- Proven experience as a team leader with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
- Strong knowledge of compliance auditing, policy development, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Spanish Speaker highly desired.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or similar is a plus.
