Your Role as an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON):
- Assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily operations of the nursing department
- Supervise and support nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, CMAs, and CNAs
- Ensure compliance with all facility policies, procedures, and state and federal regulations
- Support the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures
- Monitor quality of care and identify opportunities for improvement
- Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations of nursing staff
- Provide clinical guidance and support to staff, including care planning and documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, resident-centered care
- Promote a positive, supportive environment for residents, families, and staff
- Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and HIPAA regulations
What We're Looking For:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current LPN or RN license in the State of Ohio
- Current CPR certification
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and nursing practices
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Compassionate, calm, and resident-focused approach to care
