The Opportunity

We are looking for motivated Express Service Technicians to support our busy service center at Giles Automotive. This is an entry-level role focused on oil and filter changes, vehicle inspections, and basic service tasks, offering a strong foundation for a career in automotive service.

What We Offer

  • Pay: Ranging from $10-$12 an hour (higher pay considered for experience)

  • Career Development: Clear path to become a full-line certified Technician with paid schooling and training. Experienced technicians at Giles earn $40,000–$80,000 per year, with advancement opportunities into management. Promotions are often possible within the first 6 months.

  • Schedule: 40+ hour workweek with most weekends off (Rotating Saturdays)

What We’re Looking For

You don’t need prior automotive experience, though experience working with vehicles or in service roles is a plus. We want hardworking, detail-oriented individuals with a positive attitude who take pride in their work.

Qualifications:

  • 19+ with a valid driver’s license AND A CLEAN DRIVING RECORD

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Eagerness to learn and improve

  • Strong physical dexterity and the ability to work with tools

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Positive, friendly attitude and ability to work in a TEAM setting

  • Basic computer literacy

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Willingness to learn new technology, repair procedures, and service specifications

What You’ll Do

  • Perform oil and filter changes, brake pad replacements, tire alignments, and fluid inspections

  • Document and complete work per repair orders, following dealership and factory standards

  • Communicate with the parts department to obtain the necessary items

  • Maintain shop area, tools, and equipment in excellent condition

  • Test-drive vehicles and check components using diagnostic tools

  • Collaborate with Service Advisors to keep customers informed of any additional needs

  • Maintain accountability for all dealership-owned tools and manuals
