Marine Technician/Mechanic

Full-time Monday through Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm
$23 to $35 per hour based on experience
Germain Yachts Center is looking for an experienced MARINE Technician to join our PARDO Authorized Service Center, located in Naples, Florida. Mercury/MerCruiser/Volvo Penta training certification is desired; however, sufficient mechanical experience working on inboard and outboard motors may be considered.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate and timely inspections, diagnostics, repairs, maintenance and installation
- General marine systems: electrical, water, plumbing, running gear, electronics, troubleshooting
- Complete accurate work order, including parts request and all unit information, to ensure timeliness of job completion
- Perform duties within approved time frame and communicate expected delays with service manager
- Document and communicate any additional work needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools and service units
- Complete designated work in a timely, competent and professional manner
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Must have a valid U.S. Driver’s License and reliable transportation
- High School diploma or GED
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a plus and will include higher pay
- Required Mercury/MerCruiser Certification/Volvo Penta; however, sufficient experience with no certification may be considered
- Experience with general marine systems: electrical, water, plumbing, running gear, electronics, hydraulic systems
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces
- Must be reliable, have excellent communication skills, able to take direction and solve problems
