Position Overview

The Full-Time Clinical Director for the CORE Program provides remote clinical oversight, supervision, and after-hours crisis support to ensure high-quality, compliant, and effective behavioral health services. This leadership role focuses on guiding CORE therapists and paraprofessionals, strengthening guardian engagement, and promoting client stability and retention. The Clinical Director serves as a key point of clinical leadership, ensuring that services align with the mission and standards of Georgia Families in Transition.

 

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Oversight & Leadership

  • Provide ongoing clinical leadership, consultation, and direction to CORE staff to ensure quality, ethical, and compliant service delivery.
  • Review and approve documentation, including treatment plans, progress notes, and assessments, to ensure adherence to DBHDD and Medicaid standards.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director to identify and address training needs, documentation gaps, and performance concerns.
  • Promote consistency and accountability among all CORE team members through structured communication and feedback.

Supervision & Staff Development

  • Conduct weekly one-to-one supervisions with CORE therapists and paraprofessionals to review caseloads, client progress, and barriers to service.
  • Facilitate monthly group supervisions virtually to promote collaboration, skill-building, and clinical excellence.
  • Provide ongoing mentorship and support to enhance staff performance, documentation quality, and professional growth.
  • Maintain accurate supervision records in accordance with DBHDD and agency policies.

Guardian Communication & Client Retention

  • Support communication with client guardians to improve understanding of treatment goals, expectations, and progress.
  • Address service barriers and provide education and guidance to strengthen engagement and increase client retention.
  • Collaborate with staff to resolve challenges that impact service consistency or family participation.

Crisis Support & After-Hours Coverage

  • Serve as the on-call clinical support for staff after hours as needed.
  • Provide direction and guidance in crisis situations, ensuring appropriate de-escalation, safety planning, and reporting.
  • Communicate all after-hours incidents promptly to the Executive Director with a summary of actions taken and follow-up needs.

 

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field required.
  • Full independent licensure (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) in the State of Georgia required.
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in community-based or outpatient behavioral health settings.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of DBHDD and Medicaid documentation standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong clinical judgment and problem-solving ability.
  • Must be self-motivated and capable of providing remote leadership and supervision effectively.

 

Schedule & Compensation

  • Full-Time: (Monday-Friday: 9am-6pm) (fully remote, flexible scheduling).
  • Must be available for after-hours crisis support as needed.
  • Compensation: Competitive hourly or stipend rate, commensurate with experience.
