Caregiver

Job Title: CNA, HCA, or Ability to Become Certified

Job Summary:

Generations Home Care is currently seeking compassionate caregivers to join our team in providing home care services to our clients in the Shelton area, as well as general Kitsap County. We accept Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), Home Care Aides (HCA), or anyone who is able to obtain a certificate within 200 days of hire (assistance provided). We provide training and orientation to all of our staff. 

We specifically need assistance with a client in Shelton that requires 12 hour shifts. She needs support with ambulation, cleaning, food preparation, medication reminders, and general safety and support. 

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly pay rate of $19-37, length of shift (more for shorter shifts), and certified status (certified caregivers start at $23/hour)

• Paid twice monthly, on the 10th and 25th

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with daily activities, such as grooming, bathing, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and laundry

• Assist with medical appointments and other activities that require accompaniment

• Assist with mobility, transportation, and errands

• Adhere to safety procedures and medical protocols

• Monitor clients’ medication intake and report any irregularities

• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients

• Provide emotional support to clients and their families

Requirements:

• Manage app based technology for care plan and clocking in and out

• Ability to follow care plan instructions and adhere to medical protocols

• Ability to lift greater than 25 pounds

• CNA/HCA certification or ability to earn one within 200 days of hire

• Excellent time management skills

• Must be able to pass a background check

• CPR/First Aid certification

• Relationship development with clients and families
