The Galaxy Restaurant - Line Cook (Full-Time or Part-Time)

Job Summary
The Galaxy Restaurant is looking for a full-time and/or part-time Line Cooks to join our Wadsworth, Ohio staff. The successful Line Cook will work within a high paced team managing cooking and plating of food items. The ideal line cook candidate must have an eager attitude and be able to multi-task while maintaining accuracy & cleanliness.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary for the line cook is competitive based on experience ($15-$17/hour, DOE)
• Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k, vacation and sick leave.

Responsibilities of the Line Cook:

• Prepare and cook all foods according to standardized recipes and special requests
• Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly handled and functioning efficiently
• Maintain a sanitary work environment and adhere to proper sanitation and safety guidelines
• Prep, clean, slice, mince, and dice food products as required
• Follow proper protocols for receiving, checking, and storing food items

Requirements for Line Cooks:

• Prior experience in a hospitality / restaurant environment
• Knowledge of standard kitchen safety practices and procedures
• Ability to read and understand recipe instructions
• Highly organized with excellent time management skills
• Ability to work well with co-workers under minimal supervision
• Must be able to work nights and weekends
