Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Automotive Accounting Administrator to join our accounting team. This role supports the dealership’s sales, service, and finance operations by assisting with various accounting functions including billing support, rebate tracking, inventory entry, and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in automotive accounting, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic, team-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general accounting and administrative tasks to support day-to-day dealership operations

  • Maintain accurate schedules, records, and reports across various departments

  • Support billing processes by ensuring accuracy of fees, rebates, and incentives

  • Track manufacturer payments including rebates and finance reserves

  • Assist with the entry of vehicle purchases and inventory management

  • Handle accounting functions for lease buyouts, rental vehicle tracking, and internal transactions

  • Organize and maintain accounting documentation and digital files

  • Provide administrative support including filing, reporting, and communication with internal teams

  • Collaborate with the sales, service, and finance departments to ensure smooth operations


Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in automotive accounting or dealership administration preferred

  • Experience with dealership management systems (e.g., Dealertrack, CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or similar)

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record keeping

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work well both independently and within a team
