AUTOMOTIVE PARTS ADVISOR / COUNTER PERSON
Pay Scale: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour.
Day-To-Day Responsibilities

Customer Service:Providing excellent customer service, including answering questions, providing technical advice, and resolving customer issues.

Sales:Selling a wide range of automotive parts and accessories to customers, both retail and to service shops.

Inventory Management:Maintaining and tracking inventory levels, ordering parts as needed, and ensuring accurate records. Pull and fill orders from stock. Notifies Parts Manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention. Locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submit emergency purchases when necessary and with the approval of the Parts Manager. Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up. Maintain weekly bin checks to ensure accuracy of stock.

Order Processing:Processing internal and external customer orders, both in-person and via phone, and ensuring both accurate pricing and timely fulfillment.

Technical Knowledge:Understanding automotive systems and parts cataloging and being able to identify the correct parts for various vehicles and applications.

Communication:Effectively communicating with customers, technicians, and other staff members in a professional and friendly manner. Provide up-to-date parts statuses to both internal and external customers.

Problem Solving:Resolving customer issues and providing solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.

Record Keeping:Maintaining accurate records of sales, inventory, and warranty claims. Make sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order. Receive payment from Retail customers and obtain credit authorization.

Requirements
- Automotive parts counter sales experience required.
- Ability to use parts department computer system
- Good communication skills
- Reliable transportation to be able to make it to work as scheduled
