Used Car Buyer / Vehicle Acquisition Specialist

Fremont Ford / Dosanjh Family Auto Group is a high-volume, growth-focused dealership in Newark, CA. We are looking for a driven and analytical Used Car Buyer to help expand our pre-owned inventory through auctions, direct purchases, and trade appraisals.

We are seeking an experienced Used Car Buyer who can source, evaluate, and acquire high-quality pre-owned vehicles while maintaining strong profit margins and inventory turn.  We have purchased hundreds of leads where customer's have indicated they want to sell their vehicle.  Your job is to contact the customers and get them in to sell us their car!

This role is critical to our dealership’s success and directly impacts profitability.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate vehicles using market data, condition reports, and pricing tools
• Manage inventory mix to align with market demand and dealership goals
• Appraise trade-ins accurately and competitively
• Negotiate purchases to maximize gross profit
• Monitor market trends, pricing shifts, and competitor inventory
• Work closely with sales and management teams to maintain proper inventory levels
• Ensure all purchases meet dealership standards for quality and recon readiness

📊 Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in used vehicle buying or appraising (preferred)
• Ability to learn auction platforms and vehicle valuation tools (vAuto, KBB, MMR, etc.)
• Ability to analyze data and make fast, profitable decisions
• Strong negotiation skills
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

💰 Compensation 

• Guaranteed income of $2800 per month
• Commissions based on volume of purchases/ acquisitions
