At Frederick Living the Transportation Driver is responsible for driving the Frederick Living vehicles as assigned to meet the transportation needs of the residents. 

What You’ll Do

• Act consistently as a team player
• Practice safe driving skills at all times 
• Maintain a safe driving record 
• Insure residents are comfortable and safely secured 
• Demonstrate knowledge of the mechanical wheel chair lift and vehicle safety features 
• Maintain proper fuel levels in the vehicles and observe and report any mechanical or body defects on vehicles immediately to the Transportation Manager
• Respond to scheduling requests within 24 – 48 hours 
• Know the bus route to and from the designated site 
• Report any incidents concerning residents to Transportation Manager or other appropriate staff 
• Keep vehicle clean 
• Keep an operating cell phone available at all times during transport 
• Abide by the organization’s code of conduct in the performance of their duties 
• Perform other duties as required.  Examples: on campus delivery of packages, and meals, data entry, on
• the job training of new drivers, fluid checks and cleaning of vehicles, other customer service activities Supports a clean, safe, and welcoming environment that promotes resident dignity and quality of life.
• Ability to hear, see, feel, smell and speak adequately to perform the essential functions of the job
• Ability to balance, climb, crawl, crouch, grasp, kneel, lift, pull, push, reach, perform repetitive movements, stand and stoop to perform the essential functions of the job
•  Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
• Ability to work in inside and outside environmental conditions

What We’re Looking For

• High School graduate or equivalent with a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s license. Prior experience and safe driving record required.
• Flexibility- may be asked to assist in emergencies
