Transmission Technician

We are looking for an experienced Transmission Technician to diagnose, repair, and rebuild automatic and manual transmissions and related drivetrain systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and confident handling complex repairs with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair automatic and manual transmissions and drivetrain systems
• Perform transmission R&R, rebuilds, reseals, clutch replacements, and torque converter repairs
• Use OEM diagnostic tools, including Ford IDS/FDRS, to diagnose transmission and drivability concerns
• Conduct road tests to verify repairs
• Document diagnostics and repairs accurately
• Communicate repair needs and timelines with Service Advisors and Parts
• Follow Ford repair procedures and safety standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications

• 3+ years of automotive transmission experience
• Ability to perform transmission R&R and rebuilds with minimal supervision
• Strong understanding of powertrain, electrical, and diagnostic systems
• Ford transmission/driveline certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and meet physical requirements
