JOB DESCRIPTION
Creator & Designer
TISAS Arms Corp · Remote (US)· Full-Time · Salaried Exempt · Reports to VP of Marketing
FLSA CLASSIFICATION
This is a full-time position classified as Salaried Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act — specifically the Creative Professional exemption (29 CFR § 541.302), based on the role's primary duty of performing work requiring invention, imagination, originality, and talent in the recognized creative fields of graphic design, video production, motion graphics, and visual arts. The employee is paid on a salary basis and is not eligible for overtime. The role is expected to be self-directed, with meaningful autonomy over creative decisions and daily prioritization.
About TISAS Arms Corp
TISAS Arms Corp is the U.S. operating division of TİSAŞ — Trabzon Silah Sanayi A.Ş. — a Turkish firearms manufacturer founded in 1993 and recognized worldwide for engineering quality, manufacturing precision, and competitive value. Best known for our extensive 1911 pistol line and growing portfolio of striker-fired pistols and modern sporting rifles, TISAS has become one of the most respected value-driven names in the U.S. firearms market. From our distribution facility in Buford, Georgia, we ship firearms direct from our Trabzon manufacturing facility to a growing dealer network across the United States.
Position Summary
We are looking for a rare kind of creative professional — a Creator & Designer who owns the visual and creative identity of TISAS Arms Corp in the U.S. market. This is a high-autonomy, high-ownership role responsible for defining and executing how the TISAS brand shows up across every visual touchpoint: logos, social channels, product launches, dealer materials, trade show booths, video content, brand collateral, web UX/UI and the small animations and motion graphics that bring modern brand storytelling to life.
The Creator & Designer exercises independent creative judgment on brand direction, campaign concepts, visual style, video treatments, and creative deliverables. This role is intentionally self-managed — you will not be told what colors to use, what shots to capture, or how to compose a piece of content. You will be trusted to translate business objectives into original, on-brand creative work that elevates TISAS in a crowded industry.
On any given day, you might shoot and edit a product video in the morning, design a dealer one-pager in the afternoon, refine a sub-brand logo for a new product line, and prep social content for launch. You will partner with the CEO, Sales, Marketing (as the team grows), and TISAS HQ in Trabzon to bring the TISAS brand into sharper, more distinctive focus in the U.S. market.
We are being direct: this is a unicorn role. If you are strong in only one or two of design, video, or social content creation— this is probably not the right role for you. If you thrive at the intersection of all of them and are ready to own a brand rather than execute against someone else's brief, keep reading.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Vision and Direction
- Own the TISAS Arms Corp visual identity in the U.S. market, including how it evolves over time to reflect new product lines, campaigns, and market positioning.
- Exercise independent creative judgment on brand direction, campaign concepts, and creative deliverables — from initial concept through final execution.
- Recommend and pitch original creative concepts to leadership; translate business objectives into distinctive creative work.
- Self-manage creative workload and priorities in alignment with company launch calendars, trade show schedules, and marketing priorities.
Video Production
- Concept, plan, shoot, and edit product videos, brand videos, dealer training videos, event coverage, and social platform-first video content.
- Operate camera, lighting, audio, and support equipment for in-house and on-location shoots (Buford facility, trade shows, dealer visits, and occasional TISAS HQ trips in Trabzon).
- Edit in Adobe Premiere Pro (or comparable NLE), including color grading, sound design, and delivery for multiple output formats (YouTube long-form, Instagram Reels, TikTok, X, product page embed).
- Direct and coordinate on-camera talent, including internal team members and, where applicable, sponsored shooters and brand ambassadors.
Graphic Design and Brand
- Design brand-consistent marketing collateral including product one-pagers, spec sheets, dealer materials, catalog pages, trade show graphics, digital ads, and print materials.
- Create and refine original logos, sub-brand marks, and identity systems for new product lines, event campaigns, and internal initiatives.
- Own and evolve the TISAS Arms Corp U.S. visual brand system: typography, color palette, iconography, photography style, and layout templates.
- Design and direct product packaging elements, hangtags, and box inserts in partnership with Operations and TISAS HQ.
Social Media Content Creation
- Concept and produce platform-native content for Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X, and other channels — designed for the format, not just resized for it.
- Apply and evolve current social media best practices at TISAS: hook structure, retention, captioning, thumbnail design, cover selection, and platform-specific engagement patterns.
- Partner with the Marketing Specialist (or CEO, in the absence of one) on content calendar planning, campaign concepts, and launch content — with meaningful creative authority in the creative direction of those campaigns.
- Interpret social channel performance data and independently adjust creative approach based on what's working.
Photography and Product Imagery
- Shoot product photography for the TISAS Arms Corp catalog, website, dealer materials, and social channels.
- Edit and retouch product images to a consistent, on-brand standard.
- Maintain and organize the TISAS Arms Corp master asset library (photos, videos, graphics, brand files) with clear file structure and version control.
Brand, Compliance, and Collaboration
- Protect and elevate the TISAS Arms Corp brand voice and visual identity across every deliverable.
- Ensure all creative content complies with applicable federal and state firearms advertising restrictions, platform-specific firearms content policies, and TISAS Arms Corp's internal review standards.
- Coordinate with the Compliance Manager on any creative involving regulated product claims, technical specifications, warranty language, or export-controlled information.
- Coordinate with TISAS HQ in Trabzon to ensure U.S. creative is consistent with global brand standards and product positioning.
- Support trade show booth design, environmental graphics, and event creative including SHOT Show and NRA Annual Meeting.
Motion Graphics and Animation (bonus)
- Create small-scale animations and motion graphics to support social content, video intros/outros, product feature highlights, and digital advertising.
- Design animated logo treatments, kinetic type sequences, and short explainer animations.
- Integrate motion elements into video edits to elevate polish and modernity of TISAS video output.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or diploma from an accredited college program in graphic design, visual communication, digital media, or a closely related creative discipline. This is a required qualification — self-taught candidates without formal design education will not be considered for this role.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience producing creative work at a company, agency, or as a full-time freelancer with a demonstrable client roster.
- Strong professional portfolio demonstrating breadth across graphic design (identity, layout, digital, print), video production and editing, motion graphics or animation, and social content.
- Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and After Effects.
- Hands-on proficiency with camera, lighting, and audio equipment for video and photo production; ability to plan and execute a shoot from concept to delivery.
- Strong working knowledge of current social media best practices across Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and X — including platform-native design principles, retention mechanics, and firearms industry advertising restrictions.
- Excellent eye for typography, layout, hierarchy, color, and composition.
- Strong project management skills; able to juggle multiple concurrent creative projects and deliver on deadline.
- Eligible to possess firearms under federal law (18 U.S.C. § 922(g)) and Georgia law, as this role involves handling firearms for photography, video, and product content creation.
- U.S. work authorization (no sponsorship available). Must pass a comprehensive pre-employment background check and drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior creative experience in the firearms, sporting goods, hunting, outdoor, or defense industry.
- Familiarity with firearms industry advertising restrictions, including Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Google Ads firearms policies, and lawful compliant messaging.
- Familiarity with the firearms media landscape, including major publications, YouTube channels, and industry influencers.
- Motion graphics familiarity — After Effects skills, 2D animation, kinetic typography, or cinema-quality title design.
- 3D or product visualization skills — Blender, Cinema 4D, or similar for product renders, exploded views, or animated product reveals.
- Studio and location lighting expertise for product photography and video.
- Experience designing for e-commerce platforms and website content management systems (Shopify, WordPress, Webflow, or comparable).
- Prior trade show or event creative experience (booth design, environmental graphics, event print).
- Working knowledge of print production — file prep, color management, working with commercial printers.
- Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Turkish.
